Dr. Sunil Saxena
Dr. Sunil Saxena is a board-certified emergency medicine physician whose work spans emergency medicine, trauma care, acute care, addiction treatment, and mental health care. His emergency department experience has shaped a practical, compassionate approach to medicine centered on listening, clear communication, and respect for each patient’s circumstances.
Dr. Saxena graduated from Northeast Ohio College of Medicine at the age of 23 and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Akron General Medical Center. He trained in trauma care at Baltimore Shock Trauma.
Through his current telemedicine practice, Dr. Saxena provides treatment for opioid use disorder, including medication-assisted treatment with buprenorphine, as well as mental health medication management. He is committed to expanding access to care and helping patients build stability through individualized treatment and ongoing support.
Dr. Saxena believes effective medicine begins with a patient-centered approach. He emphasizes treating patients with dignity, involving them in decisions, and creating a supportive environment where they can take meaningful steps toward recovery and better health—a refreshing change in the current world of medicine.
